Description
Orpheus is Dolphin’s multilingual software speech synthesizer for the Windows
Vista or XP operating systems. Orpheus is designed to deliver
high quality responsive speech when used in conjunction with a SAM-compatible
access product, such as Hal screen reader or Cicero
text reader. Orpheus is a true multilingual speech synthesizer and is capable of speaking
around 40 languages, including American English, Latin American or Castillian Spanish,
German, French, and many others.

- Works with any 16-bit stereo sound card that is on the operating system’s Hardware
Compatibility List. (A Sound Blaster-compatible sound card is required for
Orpheus’ audio mixing feature.)

- Allows full control over voice parameters, such as speed, pitch and prosody.
- Compatible with all SAM access products. (An Orpheus MSAPI
driver is also planned.)
