These instructions apply to Matrox display driver version 4.03.00.3170 and PowerDesk version 3.18.045. Other versions of the driver may vary slightly in the layout of the "MGA Settings" dialog box controls.

1. Install the Matrox drivers supplied with the card.  Follow the manufacturers instructions.

2. Install Lunar for Windows 95.

3. Disable Luanr’s color changer.

i.e. add the line:

colour_changer=0

into the [Global] section of LW95CFG.INI, which is located in the Lunar installation directory.

4. Click on the "Display" applet in the Windows 95 control panel.

5. Click on the "MGA Settings" Tab.

6. Click on the "Advanced" button.

7. Click on the "Performance" Tab.

8. Turn off "Use Device Bitmap Caching".

9. Turn off "Use PowerGDI acceleration".

10. Keep clicking on "OK" until the "Display" applet closes.

11. Restart Windows 95.  (It may tell you to do this anyway).

12. Run Lunar.
