Blocks in Motion is a creativity and animation tool for all your students. It has easy but imaginative painting and animation tools so that everyone - first graders to sixth graders, first time users to computer whiz kids, junior artists to children with poor fine motor skills - is successful.

There is no wrong way to use Blocks in Motion. It has a terrific playbox interface that encourages expression at many levels.

• For the youngest, it is a scribble tool
• For the oldest, it is a sophisticated tool for creating objects and motion programming
• For those who are not good with traditional drawing and building tools

Easy animation lets students demonstrate lessons, practice planning and use sequencing skills. Painting and animating happen at the same time so you don't have to stop one activity to see the other. Start an animation and paint the scene or the other way around.

• Wide selection of colors, geometric forms and patterns
• Drag blocks around the scene with your mouse
• Use point-and-click tools to Go Left, Go Right and Bounce around the Screen
• Create backgrounds, build objects, write on scenes and record introductions

Blocks in Motion is valuable throughout the curriculum. Use it for storytelling, science demonstrations, social studies and math (the teacher-created Learning Materials are packed with ideas). Graphics on any topic can be imported from any standard source.

Because of extra-easy toolbars, students at many ability levels can participate. Even young students can do activities with a minimum of guidance. Blocks are placed or changed with a single mouse click. In fact, mouse dragging is completely optional, so fine-motor skills are not required for success. But don't let its ease-of-use fool you.

Blocks in Motion has creative and innovative ways for older students to show off their motion and programming skills, too. This program was designed by educators and engineers working closely with many types of students, including those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and other special needs. Blocks in Motion develops thinking skills, encourages exploration and facilitates experimentation. The program is based on Piagetian principles that say the creation process should be as educational as the end result.
