Light combines easy-to-use experiments and highly accurate simulations with over
40 reproducible lab worksheets. Carefully sequenced levels of virtual
experiments—basic, extension, and challenge—provide a safe means for students
to perform "hands-on" activities with lasers and an assortment of optical tools. Students
will investigate the nature of light, reflection and mirrors, refraction and lenses,
and the colors of light. Using the Virtual Laboratory, students can follow pre-designed
labs to learn about particular aspects of light, and then apply their understanding
of optics to create virtual models of telescopes, cameras, and other everyday devices.
