Words Around Me helps students successfully identify 275 common vocabulary words
and 186 plurals. With help from an encouraging character named Greenie, students learn
to associate spoken words with a variety of visual representations, including
photographs, drawn images and animations. To learn the vocabulary, students progress
through a series of five activities—Word Identification, Plurals, Categorization,
Sameness and Difference; four review games provide playful opportunities for
reinforcement.
