Eloquence and Microsoft Speech
Description
If the Eloquence speech synthesizer has a noticeable delay when you are using the keyboard, you may have the wrong SPEECH.DLL in the Windows\Speech folder. This is often the case when the Microsoft Speech Engine has been installed, (sometimes this occurs with the installation of other screen readers).
The date of the proper SPEECH.DLL that runs with the current release of JAWS and Eloquence should be 2/7/96 and the version number should be 2.0.0.10208. If this is not the date or version number of the SPEECH.DLL, you should copy the correct file from the \JFW32 folder.
