Use the following instructions to configure the STB Velocity 4400 to work with JAWS
under Windows 95 or 98:
- Uninstall JAWS.
- Download the NVIDIA RIVA TNT drivers from the NVIDIA web site at http://www.nvidia.com/home.html.
The driver file is a zip file named W9X048AG.zip, for AGP models, or W9X048P.zip, for PCI
models.
- Set the display adapter type to "Standard VGA" in order to remove the current
STB driver files by doing the following: "Control Panel", "Display",
"Settings" tab, "Advanced" button, "Adapter" tab,
"Change" button, "Next" button, choose "Display a list of all
drivers", choose "Show all hardware", choose "(Standard Display
Types)" under "Manufacturers" and "Standard Display Adapter
(VGA)" under "Models". Reboot the system.
- Unzip the downloaded NVIDIA RIVA TNT driver file in to a temporary directory on your
hard drive. (i.e. C:\temp).
- You will now need to change you display adapter type again by doing the following:
Control Panel", "Display", "Settings" tab, "Advanced"
button, "Adapter" tab, "Change" button, "Next" button,
choose "Display a list of all drivers", "Have Disk" button, type in
the path where you unzipped the drivers (i.e. C:\temp) and choose NVIDIA RIVA TNT from the
list.
- When the installation is completed your computer will need to be rebooted and your
display type will be set as the following type: NVidia RIVA TNT.
- Your system is now ready to install and run JAWS.
