Systems which have one of the newer ATI video cards installed may experience failures generally indicated by Illegal Operation in OSM16.dll followed by Fatal Exception errors.

These failures have been reported when using IE4.01, Quickbooks 6.0, and MS Reference Office 97. It is expected that other conditions may exhibit the problem.

It has been found that newer ATI drivers will not function properly with 16 bit applications. OSM16.dll used with JAWS is such an application. ATI is aware of this and has a solution.

The problem can be corrected by going to the ATI web site at http://support.atitech.ca/drivers/win95-16bit.html. Selecting and downloading and installing the proper driver for your card. JFW will then operate correctly.
