| To create a concept map, we begin with a single concept. For example,
let's say we're studying solutions in science class. We'll begin our
concept map with just one word, "Solution." Type that in the
Main Idea symbol.

In the next step, we type in all the major terms or concepts we can
think of that relate to that topic. Simply point and type for each new
idea. Inspiration automatically puts your words in symbols.
After all our ideas are entered, we begin linking them. Click the
Link tool, then click on the two symbols you wish to link. Inspiration
will draw the link for you. To enter a connecting phrase, just click on
the link and start typing.
Finally, we rearrange the symbols so their relationships are clear.
Click and drag; the links and the linking phrases will follow.
