In general, the major innovation in version 3.0 is the improved accuracy (because of the new BestMatch technology). If you are wondering whether it is worth to upgrade to version 3.0, I would say that it is definitely worth it for no other reason than just the accuracy improvements. Although, many of the new features (like a new error correction commands) are also worth it.
