With the release of version 3.0 of Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Dragon Systems has changed the names of the various editions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking.  Naturally (sic) this has caused some confusion.

What used to be called the Personal Edition is now called the Standard Edition.  If you are a user of version 1.0 or 2.0 of Personal Edition, then when you upgrade to version 3.0 you will actually be getting something called the Standard Edition.  The feature set is basically the same except that the Standard Edition now includes bold NaturalText and NaturalWord (features which were previously only available in the higher priced Preferred Edition).

What used to be called the Deluxe Edition is now called the Professional Edition.  If you are user of version 2.0 of the Deluxe Edition, then when you upgrade to version 3.0 you will actually be getting something called the Professional Edition.  The feature set, however, remains the same.

The medical suite and legal suite are both based on the Professional Edition.

The Preferred Edition has not changed its name.

And then of course there is Point & Speak :-)
