Point and Speak is an entry-level speech recognition product based on Dragon NaturallySpeaking technology.  It looks just like Dragon NaturallySpeaking with the NaturalText feature but does not include the Dragon NaturallySpeaking editor window itself, or NaturalWord or any other editing capabilities.

With Point and Speak, the only thing that you can do is dictate.  You cannot really correct by voice (except for the last utterance), and there are very few commands.  But you can dictate directly into any application.  Point and Speak also includes tracking, which means that you can dictate the names of menus and dialog boxes in most Windows applications.

Point and Speak includes the commands "Correct That", "Scratch That" and "Spell That".  It does not, however, include most other editing commands including "Correct <text>" or "Select <text>".

Point and Speak is designed to be used in combination with the keyboard and mouse.  You are expected to point the mouse at the place where you want to dictate and then speak.gift Point and Speak makes a mistake, you can correct the last thing you said with "Correct That", but earlier mistakes have to be corrected by selecting the words with the mouse and re-speaking.

I understand that Point and Speak as a very low entry price, but I do not believe that this will devalue Dragon NaturallySpeaking.  I would not recommend Point and Speak to any serious user of Dragon NaturallySpeaking, rather, it is an inexpensive way to get introduced to speech recognition.
