Installing Dragon Naturally Speaking 5.0 on Windows XP

Description:
When installing Dragon Naturally Speaking
on Windows XP, a warning dialog box appears (see attached Bitmap)
"This version of Dragon.. has a known
compatibility issue with speech functionality when used with this
version of Windows"
Clicking the continue button allows the
user to install, but the program returns a "Speech.dll" error message
when you attempt to run it.

Solution:
A: Before installing Dragon, use Windows
Explorer to browse the Dragon CD-Rom. Navigate to <CD-Rom Drive>:/dns50/redist/spchapi.exe
and install the SAPI 4..0. Then proceed to install Dragon.

B: Click the "Details" button (see attached
Bitmap) and follow the link to Microsoft's web site at
http://www.microsoft.com/speech/AppHelp(SAPI4)/sapi4.asp
