The Sony ICD-SX700 uses a high capacity IC chip, which may recorded over itself and used again and again, with distortion-free clarity.

User available memory = 1,005,780,992 bytes, a portion of which is used for data management functions, with default 5 folders setting. Total available space will be reduced as the number of folders increases.

Podcast-Ready WAV/MP3 File Conversion and Playback

Recorded sound can be converted to MP3 or WAV file formats with the included Digital Voice Editor software. The ICD-SX700 provides easy playback of unsecured MP3 files by dragging and dropping files into the MP3 folder on the device.
