The human body constantly emits biosignals, such as brain waves, electroocular signals and electromuscular signals. These can be measured by equipment such as electroencephalograms (EEG), electrooculograms (EOG) and electromyograms (EMG). The Bio.Switch combines these systems in a single input system, or switch. The Bio.Switch can be used to enhance communication between patients and caregivers by relaying the needs and intentions of severely disabled individuals, providing vital support to people with special needs.

 
 

The MCTOS requires training.
Use this product when:

  • the patient's desires and intentions are clear.
  • the patient can hear and understand speech.
  • little or no involuntary movement occurs.
Users include those with:
  • ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) (Lou Gehrig's disease)
  • cerebral palsy
  • Werdnig-Hoffmann disease
  • Rett's syndrome
  • traffic accident-induced disabilities
  • TBI
