Synapse TAP Cross-Platform Voice
Recognition Systems
LARGE ACROBAT LITERATURE FILE
Stop typing and speak across all computer platforms. The Synapse TAP is the universal
voice recognition interface to SUN, Silicon Graphics, HP Unix, Macintosh, mainframe and
PCs running NT, OS2 or any other operating environment. The Synapse TAP system provides
the cleanest solution for voice recognition requirements across all platforms. System
performance is enhanced by isolating the computer intensive voice recognition component
from the host computer system. Keystroke and mouse events recognized on the Synapse TAP
system are sent on to the host computer. The Synapse TAP system does not require any
software or modification of the host computer. The only installation requirement is to
simply plug the TAP system into the keyboard and mouse port of the hosting computer.
The Synapse TAP system is the only voice recognition
system capable of complete hands-free access across all platforms. No other voice
recognition system can provide mouse-button-drags necessary for manipulating graphical
objects.
Benefits include conflict-free communication across
all platforms. No longer do network or modem connections present a barrier. No software
emulations are necessary and therefore none of the difficulties associated with emulators
can complicate your installation. The clean hardware connection avoids all inconsistencies
and configuration modifications that may occur in the UNIX and mainframe environment. No
network connection is used and therefore all issues related to IP address resolution,
terminal modes, and configuration are avoided. Important video processing occurs on the
host computers video display card and monitor. No video processing performance is
lost with the addition of a Synapse TAP system solution.
Synapse TAP systems are generally sold as an
installed turn-key solution with training onsite. Contact
us for an assessment of your requirements and a quotation.
