textHELP!® Screenreader: Using Speech

THIS PRODUCT IS DISCONTINUED
Synthesized speech is a very powerful support mechanism for people with reading difficulties. We have designed textHELP!® Screenreader to take advantage of this technology to allow you to read text from ScreenReader dialogs and also from all your other software, including your word processor, the Internet, your email program and much more. This can be split up into three main areas.

  1. Reading Selected text

  2. Reading text and highlighting it word by word as it is spoken

  3. Automatic Screen reading.

These areas are covered in separate topics. Click on the links above to find out more.

Your favoriteC settings for pitch, speed, volume etc. will be used. You can adjust these from the speech properties panel.
