DICTIONARY
Read & Write (V8.1) GOLD has an enhanced dictionary to increase your
literacy and creative writing skills. It allows you to find alternative
suggestions for words and provides audible definitions and sample sentence
for each selected word.
By providing an advanced dictionary with descriptions and sample sentences
that can be read to aid choice, Read & Write (V8.1) GOLD provides the means
for increasing vocabulary.
How to use the dictionary
To use the dictionary, select the word that you want to check and click on
the Dictionary button. This will bring up the dictionary window.
From here select the appropriate radio button to specify whether the word is
a noun, verb, adjective, adverb or all. A list of alternatives will appear
and by selecting each word a description and sample sentence will be shown.
These can be spoken by selecting them and clicking on the
button. Once you have picked a replacement it is simply a matter of clicking
on the Replace button.
