Read & Write (V9) GOLD allows you to convert any text to a sound file. This sound file can then be played on any suitable media player. This way you can take your reading with you. This will allow you to read faster and have a greater flexibility in how and when you read.

Read & Write (V9) GOLD coverts text into a Windows WAV file, Windows WMA file or MP3 file. These can be saved directly to your media player.

How to Convert text to speech with Read & Write (V9) GOLD

Simply select the text that you wish to have converted into a sound file and then click on the Speech Maker button. This will open the Speech Maker panel showing the text you selected. 

The next step allows you to choose and adjust the voice settings.

The third step allows you to choose the format in which you wish the sound to be saved and where want to save the file to.
.wav will be the best quality but will be the largest file.
.wma will be of medium quality and medium sized
.mp3 will be of the least quality and smallest sized.

When you click on Finish your selected text will be converted into an audio file.
